Data & AI Chapter Lead Engineer

About the role

Lead a community of Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and AI specialists at ING Hubs Türkiye, driving technical excellence and engineering standards across data platforms, machine learning systems, and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a chapter of Data & AI engineers, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and reusable patterns for data pipelines, ML models, and AI applications.
• Ensure high‑quality, scalable, and secure delivery of data‑driven solutions in collaboration with architects and cross‑functional teams.
• Align chapter capacity with organizational priorities and drive upskilling initiatives.
• Collaborate with other Chapter Leads and global stakeholders to maintain alignment on standards and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in Data, Machine Learning, or AI domains.
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms, ML systems, and AI technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to align technical capabilities with business priorities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud environments.
• Knowledge of scalable architectures.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms and AI/GenAI solutions.
