Data Privacy Partner

About the role

The Data Privacy Partner safeguards personal data across AstraZeneca Turkey, ensuring compliance with local data protection laws and the company’s Global Data Privacy Standard. Reporting to the Nominated Signatory & Data Privacy Lead, the role works at the intersection of law, technology and business to embed ethical, compliant practices into everyday operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the local Data Privacy Subject Matter Expert, maintaining the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) and monitoring legal changes.
• Lead incident and data‑breach response, including containment, remediation, root‑cause analysis and notifications to authorities.
• Support high‑risk projects by reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments and implementing consent management, privacy notices and Data Subject Request processes.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Commercial Excellence and Digital/IT to embed Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default into processes.
• Design, deliver and track regular data‑privacy training for employees and raise awareness of risks related to sensitive personal data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law with at least 5 years of data‑privacy experience.
• Strong knowledge of Turkey’s Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 and familiarity with GDPR or similar frameworks.
• Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a flexible team environment and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
