Data Scientist – Time Series Forecasting (Remote)

About the role

Join a data‑driven team building advanced forecasting solutions for a live energy trading platform. You will design, develop and productionise time‑series models that predict weather, market prices and electricity grid supply and demand, directly supporting data‑informed trading decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and refine forecasting models for weather conditions, energy market prices and electricity grid dynamics.
• Translate analytical models into robust, scalable code that powers a live trading platform.
• Analyse datasets, identify trends and continuously improve model accuracy.
• Integrate AI‑assisted coding tools into daily workflows to accelerate development.
• Collaborate with distributed teams, communicating technical findings and aligning models with business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Econometrics, Physics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• At least three years of professional experience in data science, quantitative analysis or forecasting.
• Proven expertise in time‑series forecasting and ability to turn quantitative methods into practical solutions.
• Strong English communication skills for remote, international collaboration.

Required skills

• Python for data analysis, model development and production implementation.
• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with Go (advantage).
• Hands‑on use of agentic coding tools (AI‑assisted development).
