Design Engineer – Aerospace Components

About the role

Mubea Türkiye Engineering Office, part of the global Mubea Group, is seeking a Design Engineer to join its aerospace team in Istanbul Teknopark. You will work on advanced aircraft component and tooling projects, collaborating with international colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify metal and composite aircraft parts and assemblies.
• Design tooling and jigs, including lamination tools, milling jigs, and other manufacturing fixtures.
• Perform tolerance analyses for parts, assemblies, and tooling.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, bills of materials, ply books, and engineering change documentation in CAD and PDM systems.
• Collaborate with international engineering, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure manufacturable, cost‑effective designs.
• Prepare engineering documentation and participate in design reviews, checks, and release activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical design of parts, assemblies, tooling, molds, and fixtures.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written, for technical meetings and documentation.
• Structured, proactive working style with strong responsibility and ability to work in an international team.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience using CAD and PDM systems for design data management.
