Developer Advocate

About the role

The Developer Advocate will connect with developers through technical expertise, community engagement, and practical education. You will represent developer needs at conferences, meetups, webinars and other industry events while creating tutorials, demos and code samples that simplify web data and API workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the organization at developer conferences, meetups, webinars, podcasts and other industry events.
• Create and deliver technical talks, workshops, live demos and panel presentations for developer audiences.
• Produce tutorials, articles, videos, code samples and demos that simplify web data, APIs and scraping workflows.
• Engage with developers on social media, forums, open‑source communities and track the impact of community initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in developer advocacy, community engagement or a related technical role.
• Established presence within developer or technical communities and strong communication skills.
• Passion for web data extraction, APIs and helping developers adopt new technologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs, web scraping and data extraction.
• Experience with Scrapy or similar web‑scraping frameworks (optional but beneficial).
