DFM Engineer

About the role

Xometry is seeking a DFM Engineer to join its Turkey team within the Project Engineering group. You will work with global customers in aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial and medical sectors, evaluating designs for manufacturability and ensuring successful project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate customer designs for manufacturability (DFM) and provide actionable improvement recommendations.
• Optimize designs for production capabilities, cost efficiency and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with CNC machining, sheet‑metal and additive manufacturing partners to ensure smooth production.
• Support production troubleshooting and resolve technical challenges during order execution.
• Act as technical liaison between customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC machining and/or sheet‑metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and solid knowledge of GD&T.

Required skills

• 3/4/5‑axis CNC machining and turning operations.
• Sheet‑metal processes, laser cutting, bending, welding, stamping.
• Post‑processing techniques (plating, finishing, etc.).
• Advanced processes such as EDM, grinding, honing, lapping.
• Additive manufacturing technologies.
