Director of Financial Affairs

About the role

Aksa Power Generation is seeking a Director of Financial Affairs to lead its Finance function at the Kavacık headquarters in Istanbul. The role will oversee Budget & Reporting, General Accounting and, in the near future, Cost Accounting, while collaborating with domestic and international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and improve the work of General Accounting, Budget & Reporting, and Cost Accounting departments.
• Manage budgeting, planning and reporting processes across the organization.
• Oversee preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to senior management.
• Lead consolidation and elimination processes for group companies and overseas offices.
• Ensure consistent accounting and tax practices across all locations.
• Develop and maintain control systems to guarantee accurate and reliable data.
• Analyze production costs and product profitability through cost accounting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of finance and accounting experience, including Big‑4 background and senior private‑sector roles.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, reporting, financial analysis and consolidation.
• Proven managerial experience in general and cost accounting, tax and regulatory compliance.
• Advanced English proficiency and ability to work with global teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally without restriction.
