Electrical Design Engineer – Data Center Power Systems

About the role

Enka is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer for its Head Office in Besiktas, Istanbul, within the Data Center design team. The engineer is responsible for the technical production and detailed engineering of power systems, turning a conceptual Single Line Diagram into a fully coordinated, constructible and redundant electrical system that meets mission-critical uptime standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine Protection & Metering Single Line Diagrams for MV/LV systems, Load Lists, Cable Schedules and Panel Schedules.
• Perform core electrical calculations: cable sizing (voltage drop and derating), protection (arc flash hazard assessments and breaker settings) and earthing, lightning protection and lighting calculations with Dialux.
• Lead the electrical 3D modelling (LOD 300) in Revit, keeping cable containment, switchgear footprints and clearances clash-free and coordinated with Mechanical and Structural disciplines.
• Prepare Electrical Equipment Datasheets and Material Requisitions, support the Lead Engineer in vendor bid evaluation, and review vendor drawings, shop drawings and submittals.
• Generate and manage Bills of Quantities for procurement and construction estimating, and submit deliverables according to the Master Document Register schedule.
• Ensure designs follow IEC/IEEE standards, NFPA 70 (NEC) and project safety guidelines, and assist during construction and commissioning.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel and no restriction to work abroad or relocate for project assignments.

Required skills

• Advanced use of MS Office applications.
• Revit for electrical 3D modelling (LOD 300).
• Dialux for lighting calculations.
• Analytical, organised and detail-oriented, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
