Embedded Software Engineer (Firmware)

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join its Digital Embedded Solutions Istanbul team. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers and managers, contributing to the architectural design and development of ADI's advanced products. The role involves translating product requirements into software and hardware specifications and building device drivers for SoC solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into software and hardware requirements.
• Collaborate with software architects to design and develop device driver software for SoC solutions.
• Contribute to embedded software, microcode and bare-metal drivers for SoC products.
• Develop software for performance analysis and profiling.
• Ensure software development, testing, debugging, integration and documentation follow software standards, including testing on emulation platforms and evaluation boards.
• Communicate well and work independently in a global, diverse software development community.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of industry experience.
• High motivation, individual responsibility and accountability, and up-to-date knowledge of technology advances.

Required skills

• Firmware and bare-metal drivers for MCUs, DSPs or heterogeneous SoCs, including silicon and board bring-up.
• C and C++ programming.
• ARM cores, bus architecture and protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, PWM, ADC and DAC.
• Debugging tools such as GDB, JLink and OpenOCD.
• CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Jira and Confluence.
• Nice to have: FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Linux, CMSIS packs, IAR, KEIL, Visual Studio/VS Code, schematic reading, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
