Embedded System Software Engineer

About the role

ViPulse Technology is seeking an Embedded System Software Engineer with at least two years of professional experience to develop firmware for microcontroller‑based systems and support innovative defense and automotive projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software modules and peripheral drivers for ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers.
• Write unit and integration tests, use mocking frameworks, and ensure code quality.
• Debug target software via SWD/JTAG and investigate hardware issues with oscilloscopes or logic analyzers.
• Collaborate closely with the hardware team and read electronic schematics and datasheets.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C (pointers, memory management, bitwise operations) and familiarity with Git version control.
• Hands‑on experience with UART, SPI, I2C, interrupts, timers and DMA.
• Ability to read technical documentation in English.

Required skills

• ARM Cortex‑M, HAL libraries, register‑level programming.
• Debugging tools: SWD/JTAG, oscilloscope, logic analyzer.
• Unit‑test frameworks such as Unity/CMock or CppUTest.
• STM32 microcontrollers and STM32CubeIDE (nice to have).
• C++ and Python scripting (nice to have).
• RTOS experience (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) and communication protocols (Ethernet, CAN, USB, BLE) (nice to have).
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI), static analysis, MISRA C guidelines (nice to have).
