Field Operator II – Wireline

About the role

The Field Operator II – Wireline works hands‑on with Weatherford equipment at oil‑field sites, executing technical tasks under the supervision of a Field Engineer or Specialist. The role focuses on operating, maintaining and troubleshooting wireline machinery while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and rig up/down wireline equipment following detailed work instructions.
• Perform functional tests, inspections, pressure testing and monitoring of mechanical, electronic and hydraulic components.
• Maintain tools and equipment – cleaning, lubricating, repairing, and documenting all activities.
• Measure and verify parts using calipers, micrometers and other precision instruments.
• Drive pickups, trucks and truck‑mounted units to well sites while maintaining a satisfactory driving record.
• Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks and Job Hazard Analyses, reporting issues promptly.
• Support senior operators in planning, coordinating and troubleshooting field assignments.

Required profile

• Ability to follow documented policies, SOPs and technical work instructions.
• Strong attention to safety and quality standards.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Physical capability to work in field environments and handle equipment.

Required skills

• Operation of wireline equipment and rigging procedures.
• Use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Mechanical, electronic and hydraulic system maintenance.
• Pressure testing and visual inspection techniques.
