Finance Director

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially‑minded Finance Director to lead the finance function of a multinational chemical manufacturer in Tire, Izmir. The role combines financial governance, strategic insight and transformation leadership to support business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all finance functions including accounting, reporting, taxation, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls and compliance.
• Oversee HR, IT, Legal & Compliance to ensure governance and alignment with global standards.
• Prepare accurate financial statements in IFRS and local statutory formats and manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing cycles.
• Drive budgeting, financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis for local and global stakeholders.
• Ensure full compliance with Turkish tax legislation, statutory reporting and corporate governance requirements.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks and regulatory bodies.
• Lead ERP implementation, system migration and finance transformation projects to improve efficiency, controls and data quality.
• Strengthen internal control frameworks, risk management and financial governance.
• Act as primary finance business partner to local management and international headquarters.
• Coach, develop and lead the finance team to achieve high performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 12‑15 years of progressive finance, accounting, auditing or controlling experience.
• Previous experience in a Big Four firm (Audit or Advisory) strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership in a multinational manufacturing environment; chemical industry experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting and financial consolidation.
• Demonstrated success in ERP implementation or finance transformation projects.
• In‑depth understanding of Turkish tax legislation, statutory reporting and corporate governance.
• Expertise in financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
