Financial Controller – Finance Business Partner

About the role

Sibelco is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner with strong controlling expertise to drive financial performance and strategic decision‑making across a multi‑site, multi‑country cluster. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance (CFO), you will act as a trusted advisor, providing actionable insights that shape business decisions and support long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cluster‑level financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare and present monthly performance reviews, analysing variances against plan/forecast.
• Monitor manufacturing cost structures, including standard costing, variances and inventory valuation.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives in collaboration with production and supply‑chain teams.
• Contribute to the monthly closing process and produce timely financial reports for local and corporate stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies and regulatory requirements (IFRS/GAAP).
• Support capital investment decisions through business case analysis and ROI modelling.
• Participate in strategic projects such as automation, expansion and ERP upgrades.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, management engineering or a related field.
• Approximately five years of experience in finance, with a focus on controlling and audit, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with operations and senior management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards.
• Experience with standard costing and inventory valuation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Ability to conduct ROI modelling and business case analysis.
