Game Level Designer – Live Operations / Hybrid Casual

About the role

CrazyLabs is seeking a Game & Level Designer to join its Live Operations team. You will help evolve, expand, and optimise hybrid‑casual mobile games for established player communities, blending creativity with data‑driven design.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new game systems, mechanics, features, levels and live‑content for existing hybrid‑casual titles.
• Create, maintain and optimise engaging missions, challenges and gameplay experiences for live players.
• Define and continuously improve level progression, pacing, difficulty curves and player journeys.
• Analyse level performance metrics (completion, fail, churn, retries) and translate insights into design improvements.
• Design and refine LiveOps events, competitions, rewards and other engagement‑driven experiences.
• Balance difficulty, progression, economy and monetisation based on player data and community feedback.
• Research competitors, market trends and emerging design techniques.
• Collaborate with product owners, data analysts, developers and artists to bring new content to life.
• Document features, level layouts, progression plans, balancing sheets and economy models.

Required profile

• Experienced Game & Level Designer with a passion for casual, hybrid‑casual and puzzle mobile games.
• Strong understanding of game systems and hands‑on level design.
• Comfortable analysing player behaviour, progression and churn data.
• Proven ability to balance difficulty, progression, economy and monetisation.
• Curious about player psychology and motivated to use AI or new tools to accelerate work.
