General Accounting Associate

About the role

Join Şişecam as a General Accounting Associate and support the finance team with accurate journal entries, period accruals, and month‑end closing activities. You will work closely with various departments to ensure timely and compliant financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare manual and automated journal entries, including revenue accruals and expense provisions.
• Create period accrual objects and record monthly expense entries.
• Control payroll summary records and maintain related accounts.
• Prepare standard financial reports according to the reporting calendar.
• Maintain and monitor general ledger accounts.
• Execute month‑end closing tasks within the defined schedule.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve any delays in the closing process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Public Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Good command of English.
• Strong communication, proactive attitude, and team‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to plan, organize, solve problems, and follow up effectively.

Required skills

• MS Office
• SAP S/4HANA (preferred)
• CPA (SMMM) certification (preferred)
