Group Logistics Manager

About the role

The Group Logistics Manager will lead the end‑to‑end logistics function for a multi‑channel retailer, reporting directly to a C‑Level executive. This senior leader will shape logistics strategy, optimise distribution networks and drive continuous improvement across warehousing, transportation and last‑mile delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Group Logistics function, including distribution centres, warehousing, transportation and delivery operations.
• Develop and execute a logistics strategy aligned with commercial objectives and omnichannel growth.
• Optimise the distribution network, reduce costs, improve service levels and ensure product availability.
• Lead logistics transformation and digitalisation initiatives, leveraging WMS, TMS, data analytics and automation.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Merchandising, Procurement, Finance, IT and Store Operations to ensure seamless product flow.
• Manage relationships with logistics providers and monitor key performance indicators.
• Build and sustain a performance‑driven culture, developing senior managers and large operational teams.

Required profile

• 15+ years of logistics or supply‑chain experience, preferably in retail, FMCG, e‑commerce or consumer goods.
• Proven leadership of large, complex logistics organisations and distribution networks.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with budget ownership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead transformation programmes and drive measurable cost and productivity improvements.

Required skills

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Proficiency in logistics digitalisation, data analytics and automation technologies.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
