Head of Controlling

About the role

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Head of Controlling will own the end‑to‑end business planning, forecasting, budgeting and performance management processes for an international FMCG company. The role combines traditional controlling duties with strong commercial decision‑making exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting and revision processes end to end.
• Prepare financial performance, variance and scenario analyses.
• Own management reporting and decision‑support processes.
• Partner closely with commercial teams on pricing, value chain, profitability and growth decisions.
• Represent the local finance organisation to regional and global stakeholders.
• Lead, develop and retain a high‑performing finance team.
• Drive the development of data, automation and digital finance capabilities.
• Provide strategic financial insight to support business performance and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong experience in FP&A, controlling, business planning or commercial finance.
• Preferably a proven career background within global FMCG organisations.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex planning and forecasting processes end to end.
• Strong understanding of pricing, value chain, margin and profitability dynamics.
• Proven experience leading and developing high‑performing finance teams.
• Direct experience working with regional and/or global stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills at management level.
• Calm, mature leadership style with high standards and ambition to grow into broader finance leadership.
