Head of Financial Reporting and Controlling

About the role

Obilet, Turkey's leading travel ticketing platform, is looking for a hands‑on Head of Financial Reporting & Controlling to report directly to the CFO. You will own all reporting, accounting and controlling processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness while driving automation and digitalisation of financial workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core financial models (working capital, net cash, distributable profit) and multi‑horizon forecasts.
• Analyse financial dynamics, deliver decision‑support analyses and ensure timely Group reporting in line with Group standards.
• Act as primary contact for Group finance inquiries and prepare requested financial analyses.
• Maintain accurate accounting records across all products, ensuring consistent data flow to management reports.
• Design, implement and monitor internal financial control mechanisms.
• Lead projects to simplify and automate financial processes and keep internal reports synchronized.
• Plan and coordinate month‑end close, perform closing controls and lead review meetings with the CFO.
• Drive finance aspects of ERP and financial system development projects.
• Interpret new accounting standards (TFRS/IFRS), assess impact and lead implementation.
• Lead, develop and manage the accounting and financial reporting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 13 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Audit background preferred (Big 4 experience a plus).
• Familiarity with digital platforms, e‑commerce, travel & tourism or marketplace business models.
• Experience in start‑ups or fast‑growth environments.
• Advanced knowledge of TFRS/IFRS standards (CPA/SMMM certification a plus).

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling.

• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems.
• In‑depth understanding of TFRS/IFRS accounting standards.
