Hull Construction Department Engineer

About the role

Damen Shipyards Antalya is seeking a Hull Construction Department Engineer to lead steel and aluminium hull construction activities within our shipbuilding projects. You will coordinate production, ensure quality, and collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor steel and aluminium hull construction and related outfitting throughout the production process.
• Prepare and follow up production and construction plans based on technical drawings, specifications, project schedules and delivery targets.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring effective information flow regarding drawings, specifications, materials and production requirements.
• Monitor on‑site fabrication and assembly activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards, technical specifications and schedules.
• Track work progress, quality performance, inspections, revisions and corrective actions together with production teams.
• Support vessel and block transportation and turning operations when required.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Production and other departments to resolve technical and operational issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in shipbuilding, steel and/or aluminium construction, or hull production.
• Good knowledge of technical drawings, production processes and shipbuilding practices.
• Experience in subcontractor coordination, production planning and site follow‑up.
• Strong planning, organization, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to live in or relocate to Antalya.
