Indirect Procurement Buyer

About the role

Motherson is seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement Buyer to support purchasing activities across its European plants. You will play a key part in shaping supplier strategies, driving cost efficiencies and ensuring alignment with global procurement goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage indirect purchasing activities for assigned plants within the region.
• Develop supplier strategies and identify synergies across plants and suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction through negotiations, standardisation and process improvements.
• Align regional purchasing requirements with global procurement strategies.
• Ensure implementation and compliance of corporate contracts.
• Support new programme launches and meet cost‑and‑timing targets.
• Utilise SAP purchasing tools and sourcing methodologies in line with company procedures.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to guarantee supply continuity.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to improve overall performance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of purchasing experience in an industrial environment.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, supplier management and indirect procurement categories.
• Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, market analysis and cost optimisation.
• Knowledge of purchasing financials, budgeting, savings calculations and data analysis.
• Understanding of commercial and legal aspects of procurement.
• Experience with supplier relationship management.
• Advanced English communication skills.
