Internal Audit Director – Global Industrial Conglomerate

About the role

CoreX Holding, a diversified global industrial group, is seeking an Internal Audit Director to join its headquarters in Maslak, Istanbul. Reporting to the Chief Audit Officer, you will lead and develop internal audit activities across multiple countries, sectors, and operating companies.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Chief Audit Officer in shaping the global internal audit strategy and annual audit plan.
• Lead complex financial, operational, compliance, governance, fraud risk, post‑acquisition, and integration audits across the Group’s portfolio.
• Prepare and present audit findings to senior management, the Audit Committee, and executive leadership.
• Develop audit methodology, quality‑assurance processes, and data‑driven, technology‑enabled audit practices.
• Manage talent, mentor audit teams, and ensure consistent application of internal audit standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, or CRMA are highly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of internal audit or risk‑management experience, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading cross‑border audit engagements within a multinational industrial environment.
• Experience in sectors such as metals & mining, ports & terminals, chemicals, logistics, energy, infrastructure or construction is desirable.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Global Internal Audit Standards, COSO, SOX and corporate governance principles.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk‑management and internal‑control frameworks.
