Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will lead risk‑based audit activities across the organization, ensuring robust internal controls, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience. This role works closely with senior management and cross‑functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and safeguard the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual risk‑based internal audit plans.
• Conduct operational, financial, compliance, and IT audits.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations and present findings to senior management.
• Monitor remediation plans and verify implementation of corrective actions.
• Assess enterprise‑wide risk management processes and governance practices.
• Review fraud prevention controls and investigate deficiencies.
• Support regulatory inspections and external audits, focusing on Turkish AML/CFT requirements.
• Review IT general controls, cybersecurity measures, and blockchain‑related operational controls.
• Promote a strong risk and compliance culture and assist in developing audit methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance or external audit.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, payment institutions, cryptocurrency exchanges or blockchain companies.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) and audit techniques.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC, fraud risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
