Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will lead risk‑based audit activities across the organization, ensuring robust internal controls and regulatory compliance. This role supports the company’s governance framework and drives continuous improvement in risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual risk‑based internal audit plans covering operational, financial, compliance, and IT areas.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify weaknesses, and recommend process improvements.
• Prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations and present findings to senior management.
• Monitor remediation plans and verify corrective actions.
• Assess enterprise‑wide risk management, governance practices, and segregation of duties.
• Support regulatory inspections, AML/KYC compliance, and external audits.
• Review IT general controls, cybersecurity, blockchain operational controls, wallet management, and smart‑contract governance.
• Promote a strong risk and compliance culture and contribute to audit methodology development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance or external audit, preferably in financial services, fintech, or cryptocurrency sectors.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, report‑writing and stakeholder communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Knowledge of internal control frameworks such as COSO.
• Experience with AML/KYC, fraud risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of IT general controls (ITGC) and cybersecurity controls.
• Familiarity with blockchain operational controls, wallet management and smart‑contract governance.
