Internal Control Manager

About the role

Benefit Systems is seeking an Internal Control Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of its internal control framework in Turkey. The role combines day‑to‑day operational oversight with strategic guidance for risk‑based decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and refine the company’s internal control methodologies and standards.
• Prepare and manage the annual risk‑based internal control plan, prioritising financial and operational risks.
• Coordinate risk assessments across business functions and evaluate the effectiveness of key controls.
• Identify control deficiencies, analyse root causes and monitor corrective action plans.
• Review business processes, policies and procedures to enhance governance and compliance.
• Assess financial controls across revenue, expenses, payments, collections, procurement and reporting, working closely with Finance.
• Lead ISO and other management‑system certification initiatives, including gap assessments and audit preparation.
• Facilitate external audit coordination and monitor findings related to fraud prevention.
• Provide regular risk and control effectiveness reports to the Country Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in internal control, internal audit, risk management or related functions.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, especially COSO, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Proven ability to evaluate financial and operational processes from a risk perspective.
• Upper‑intermediate (B2) proficiency in English and excellent stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.
