Investigative Internal Auditor – Fraud & Misconduct

About the role

Aras Kargo is seeking an Investigative Auditor to join the Internal Audit Department at its Head Office. The role focuses on fraud, misconduct and irregularity auditing, investigations and ensuring compliance with legislation and corporate ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audit activities to verify compliance, detect and prevent errors, fraud and irregularities.
• Perform on‑site examinations and investigations of incidents involving potential fraud or misconduct.
• Support the development and testing of fraud risk models and scenarios.
• Evaluate corporate fraud risks on a periodic basis.
• Identify and assess internal controls aimed at preventing and detecting fraud.
• Interview suspects, witnesses and relevant employees, and take formal statements.
• Gather, examine and analyse evidence, including CCTV footage.
• Assist in managing the whistleblowing (ethics reporting) mechanism.
• Present findings to the Disciplinary Board and represent the Internal Audit Department as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in fraud, misconduct or irregularity auditing and investigations.
• Knowledge of local legislation and professional audit standards.
• Experience reviewing CCTV/video footage and handling evidence collection and preservation.
• Proven ability to conduct investigative interviews and take formal statements.
• Strong commitment to impartiality, objectivity and confidentiality.
• Proactive attitude in identifying fraud risks, detail‑oriented and analytical.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and strong reporting, presentation and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence, no travel restrictions and excellent written and spoken English.
• Professional certification such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is preferred.
