IT Infrastructure & Operations Specialist

About the role

An open, innovative and creative software development company based in Ataşehir, Istanbul, is looking for an IT Infrastructure & Operations Specialist. The role covers managing and monitoring the company's IT infrastructure, including on-premise servers, Microsoft Azure resources and database servers, and supporting information security and IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the IT infrastructure, including on-premise servers, Microsoft Azure resources and database servers
• Administer Windows Server, IIS and MSSQL Server environments and ensure their availability, performance and security
• Manage firewalls, VPNs, network access and security configurations
• Plan, monitor and regularly test backup and disaster recovery processes
• Support ISO 27001 information security management by implementing technical controls, maintaining asset inventory and access records, providing evidence for risk assessments and assisting in internal and external audits
• Manage Microsoft 365 and Entra ID environments, including user accounts, licenses, access permissions and security policies
• Handle employee onboarding and offboarding, including devices, accounts and access rights
• Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory and provide IT support to employees, resolving escalated issues
• Coordinate with external infrastructure, hosting and security providers and create documentation for infrastructure, procedures and security controls
• Identify improvement opportunities and automate routine operational tasks

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration or IT operations
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to take full ownership of IT operations
• Good communication skills and ability to work with users, management and external providers
• Good command of written and spoken English
• No military service obligations (for male candidates)
• University degree preferably in a related field

Required skills

• Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
• IIS administration (site and application pool management, SSL certificates, performance troubleshooting)
• MSSQL Server operations (backup and restore, maintenance plans, performance and storage monitoring)
• Microsoft Azure (virtual machines, networking, storage, monitoring, cost and resource management)
• Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, licensing, conditional access and MFA)
• Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs), firewalls, VPNs and network security
• Backup and disaster recovery solutions
• PowerShell scripting and automation; Intune and ISO 27001 support are a plus
