IT System Specialist

About the role

Unifree Duty Free is looking for an experienced IT System Specialist to design, build and maintain the server and virtualization architecture that supports its large duty‑free operations at Istanbul Airport. You will ensure the reliability, security and performance of the data‑center infrastructure while providing high‑level technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, size and maintain server and virtualization architecture (VMware vSphere).
• Build, configure and manage compute, storage (SAN/NAS) and virtualization resources.
• Administer backup solutions, perform periodic restore and disaster‑recovery tests.
• Apply system updates, patches and security hardening; manage endpoint protection.
• Monitor system health, capacity and performance; respond proactively to alerts.
• Automate routine tasks through scripting.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support and coordinate escalations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date system documentation and contribute to business continuity planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in systems administration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with good command of English.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Windows Server administration.
• Linux Server administration.
• Active Directory (GPO, DNS, DHCP).
• VMware vSphere virtualization.
• Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD) with hybrid identity.
• Storage management (SAN/NAS).
• Backup & recovery technologies (e.g., Veeam) and restore testing.
• Monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana) and patch management.
• Knowledge of ITIL and ISO 27001 information‑security practices.
