Junior MEP Project Manager

About the role

LANE PEOPLE & PROJECTS, an international design and project management consultancy covering logistics, industrial, commercial and hospitality sectors, is expanding its operations and is looking for an experienced Junior MEP Project Manager for its Project Management Department in Istanbul. The role links the Project Management and MEP Design departments, working on both Lead Design and Project Management assignments for international clients during design, preconstruction and construction phases.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main MEP coordination point, representing MEP disciplines in client meetings and technical discussions, and coordinating clients, project managers, architects, structural engineers and MEP design teams.
• Monitor MEP design deliverables, milestones and interdisciplinary coordination, and flag design conflicts and technical risks.
• Support preconstruction: technical reviews, constructability and value engineering, tender documentation, and cost, schedule and procurement assessments.
• During construction, monitor RFIs, shop drawings, material submittals and approvals, coordinate MEP installation with other disciplines, and support testing, commissioning and handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in MEP design coordination, engineering consultancy, project management or construction management (10+ years for the MEP Project Manager level).
• Solid technical understanding of mechanical and electrical building systems and experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
• Advanced written and spoken English, able to lead technical discussions with international clients.
• Preferred: experience in logistics, industrial, warehouse or large-scale commercial projects, with international clients, familiarity with international engineering standards, and experience across design, preconstruction and construction phases.

Required skills

• Interpretation of engineering drawings, technical specifications and project documentation.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and project management software (preferred).
