Junior QA Engineer

About the role

Amadeus, a technology provider to the travel industry, is hiring a Junior QA Engineer in its Istanbul engineering hub. The role validates core Amadeus back-end applications, finding functional issues early so they do not reach production. It involves reviewing specifications, designing test cases and writing manual and automated scripts, as well as defining and rolling out new quality processes.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to testing strategies aligned with Amadeus's business and quality standards.
• Take part in specification and architecture reviews, giving feedback on risks and gaps.
• Define test strategies, plans and cases (functional and non-functional) with traceability to requirements.
• Design and run test cases, validate features and give go/no-go decisions based on exit criteria.
• Maintain and optimise test cases in regression and CI/CD pipelines, fixing flaky tests.
• Assess and implement test automation and improve frameworks.
• Manage defects by reporting, investigating and verifying fixes.
• Report testing progress and milestones to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Technical and functional expertise in testing back-end applications.
• Experience designing and running manual and automated test cases.
