Kitchen & Cooking & Tableware Category Executive

About the role

METRO Türkiye is hiring a full-time Kitchen & Cooking & Tableware Category Executive in Istanbul. The role follows the category strategy with a customer-centred approach, deciding product assortment in line with trends and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day business relationships with key suppliers, covering contracting, ordering, communicating demand, volume and delivery time changes, and following up on back orders
• Carry out regular market research on new suppliers, products and competitor trends
• Prepare monthly reports on category operations, reviewing sales performance and taking action
• Provide content for METRO's marketing campaigns reaching over 1 million households
• Participate in projects promoting Turkish cuisine and higher quality standards
• Act as the link between the category and the stores, working with Sales, Finance, Marketing and Logistics to reach category targets

Required profile

• University degree in a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in related areas, preferably category management or purchasing in the FMCG sector
• Fluent written and spoken English for steering global projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good reporting and communication skills, and a results-oriented attitude

Required skills

• MS Excel and other MS Office applications for executive summaries and strategic support
