Local Production Director

About the role

Lead Digiturk’s unscripted entertainment production strategy, overseeing the full lifecycle of local formats such as lifestyle, cooking, documentary and talk shows. Drive creative excellence while ensuring operational efficiency and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the unscripted entertainment production strategy aligned with programming and business goals.
• Lead development, commissioning and production of all entertainment formats across in‑house and outsourced teams.
• Manage the complete production lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring delivery on schedule, budget and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate agreements, budgets and schedules with external production partners.
• Oversee in‑house production teams, resource planning and creative performance.
• Collaborate with Programming, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Commercial and Operations to maximize impact.
• Monitor performance, risks and budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Drive innovation by identifying emerging techniques, audience trends and new formats.
• Mentor and develop the production team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Film, Television, Business Administration or related field (Master’s a plus).
• 15+ years of experience in television or digital content production, with strong entertainment programming background.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing production teams.
• Proven track record overseeing both in‑house operations and external production companies.
• Deep knowledge of the local television and entertainment production landscape and strong industry network.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
