Logistics Specialist – Global Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage inbound shipments, customs documentation and inter‑company material transfers within a global manufacturing environment. The role ensures timely delivery of raw materials and components while maintaining compliance with trade regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound shipments of raw materials, components and production‑related goods to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Manage import and export documentation in compliance with customs regulations and company procedures.
• Coordinate customs clearance activities with brokers and relevant authorities.
• Prepare, review and maintain shipping, customs and transportation documentation accurately and on time.
• Plan and monitor international and inter‑company material transfers between manufacturing sites.
• Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders and logistics service providers to optimize transportation performance.
• Maintain communication with logistics teams across other manufacturing locations to ensure smooth execution of material transfers.
• Track shipments proactively and resolve transportation or customs‑related issues to minimize operational impact.
• Support inventory accuracy by ensuring timely system transactions and proper documentation.
• Participate in logistics improvement initiatives aimed at reducing lead times, transportation costs and operational risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field (asset).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, import/export operations or customs processes within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures, international transportation and import/export documentation.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Solution‑oriented, proactive and hands‑on approach.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability and teamwork.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across different countries.

Required skills

• ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade practices.
• Fluent English communication.
