Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Since 1999, SEKLIFT has designed and manufactured construction hoists, mast climbing work platforms, electric suspended platforms and industrial and mining elevators in Adana, Turkey, with projects in Iraq, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Cyprus and Canada. The company is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its design team at the Adana factory.

Key responsibilities

• Design custom machines and lifting systems according to customer requirements
• Prepare 3D models and 2D production drawings
• Perform design-for-manufacturability analyses
• Support manufacturing, assembly and commissioning
• Coordinate with suppliers and the production team
• Manage revisions and improvements, and develop cost-optimising designs
• Follow the manufacturing process from workshop to shipment
• Prepare technical specifications, user manuals and project documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 2-5 years of experience in machine design
• Experience in custom machine design, lifting equipment, moving mechanical systems or automation machines
• Strong knowledge of steel construction, welded fabrication and machining
• Ability to perform static and dynamic calculations or evaluate existing analyses
• Experience preparing production drawings, assembly drawings, bills of materials and technical documentation
• Experience in material selection, surface treatments and production methods
• Good English preferred; male candidates must have completed military service
