Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader

About the role

In this position you will lead the mechanical maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient and uninterrupted operation of all mechanical equipment supporting production. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for compliance with GMP, OHS, environmental and quality standards while driving reliability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure reliable, efficient and uninterrupted operation of all mechanical equipment and systems.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor the activities and performance of the mechanical maintenance team.
• Manage planned, predictive and corrective maintenance processes to increase equipment reliability.
• Conduct root‑cause analyses of recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Analyze breakdowns and downtime, leading continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Perform technical evaluations for new machinery, coordinate commissioning and acceptance.
• Manage department budget, drive cost‑reduction and energy‑efficiency projects.
• Research new technologies, prepare feasibility studies and oversee investment projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance plans, equipment records and data in SAP PM.
• Optimize critical spare‑parts inventory and support operational continuity.
• Update maintenance procedures, technical documentation and participate in digitalisation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• At least 5 years of maintenance experience in pharmaceutical, food or similar process industries.
• Minimum 2 years of team‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, environmental and Occupational Health & Safety practices.
• Proven experience with planned, predictive and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies.
• Experience in budgeting, planning and reporting processes.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to reside in or relocate to Düzce.
