Medical Director – Oncology (Sponsor Dedicated, Remote)

About the role

The Medical Director – Oncology will provide medical and scientific oversight for oncology clinical research programs conducted by IQVIA Biotech Clinical on behalf of sponsor companies. This home‑based position acts as the primary medical contact for sponsors and supports project teams throughout the study lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Monitor for oncology studies, answering 24/7 protocol, safety, and compliance queries from site coordinators and investigators.
• Review and contribute to new business proposals, pre‑clinical and clinical data, study protocols, informed consent documents, Investigator Drug Brochures, eCRFs, analysis plans, and clinical study reports.
• Ensure all medical activities comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory standards.
• Develop and maintain a network of medical and scientific consultants.
• Participate in protocol development, site selection, investigator recruitment, and training of project teams.
• Present protocol and safety information at investigator meetings and develop medical monitoring plans.

Required profile

• Medical professional with extensive experience in oncology clinical trials.
• Ability to work independently in a matrixed, remote environment.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with sponsors, investigators, and internal teams.
