Network and Cyber‑Security Administrator

About the role

Siemens Smart Infrastructure – Grid Software is seeking a Network and Cyber‑Security Administrator to support its Grid Control Engineering group. You will design and protect industrial network architectures for energy automation products, ensuring compliance with leading cybersecurity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design secure industrial network architectures aligned with IEC 62443, NIST, NIS2 and related standards.
• Implement, operate and maintain system security across operating systems, applications and network security devices.
• Define, deploy and sustain OT‑specific cybersecurity solutions, including endpoint, application and device control.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications and reports; conduct site visits and deliver cybersecurity training.
• Lead and support cybersecurity projects through FAT, SAT and commissioning phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical‑Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Network and Cyber‑Security professional.
• Strong knowledge of complex IT systems, networking protocols, OS hardening and network monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux, Unix and Windows in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in English; German is a plus.

• Switch, firewall and router configuration; MPLS, DMVPN and other WAN technologies.
• Network monitoring system administration.

• Core router/switch/firewall design and data‑center networking.
• Vulnerability analysis and penetration‑testing tools.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, NSE4, CISA, CompTIA Security+, CISSP) – optional.
