Ocean Export Specialist

About the role

Reed Turkey is seeking an Ocean Export Specialist to manage end‑to‑end sea freight export operations for a leading client. The role involves coordinating shipments, ensuring documentation compliance, and maintaining high‑quality customer communication.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate bookings with shipping lines, monitor vessel schedules, and manage export shipment milestones.
• Prepare and submit Shipping Instructions, VGM declarations, and all export‑related documentation, meeting cut‑off deadlines.
• Follow up on Bill of Lading processes, amendments, and final issuance.
• Identify operational risks, handle rollovers, delays, equipment shortages, and resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Monitor operational costs, support invoice verification, and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration or related field.
• 2‑3 years of sea freight export operations experience, including freight forwarding and coordination with shipping lines, ports, overseas agents and customers.
• Advanced English communication skills and completed military service for male candidates.

• Advanced MS Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of ISO Tank operations (asset).
