Online Service Engineer / Technician

About the role

The Online Service Engineer/Technician provides remote technical support and after‑sales service for Bodor Laser’s high‑power laser cutting machines. The role combines troubleshooting, customer training, and coordination of service activities across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary remote technical contact, assisting customers via phone, email, chat and remote diagnostic tools, with on‑site visits when required.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and software issues, perform remote diagnosis, and guide customers or field teams through repairs.
• Monitor, document and prioritize incoming service requests, ensuring timely follow‑up and proper case management.
• Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints and layout drawings to support installation, maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain spare‑parts inventories, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and report safety issues.
• Provide remote or on‑site technical training to improve machine operation and reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Associate degree in mechatronics, automation, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience installing, repairing and diagnosing automated CNC laser machines.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Chinese or Turkish is a plus).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and domestically (≈25% travel).
