Overseas Accounting Manager

About the role

This position oversees international accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies and internal procedures. It also involves leading and developing international accounting teams and supporting ESG compliance in financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee international accounting operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and internal procedures.
• Establish, implement and continuously monitor internal control mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and regulatory compliance of international accounting transactions.
• Prepare and review periodic financial statements, management reports and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, enhance operational efficiency and drive automation initiatives through ERP and accounting system developments.
• Support compliance with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements within international financial reporting.
• Lead and manage international accounting teams, identify training and development needs and oversee performance management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, chart of accounts and general accounting practices.
• In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage, motivate and develop teams.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and accounting software; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
• Expertise in financial reporting, documentation and financial analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work with cross-functional and international teams, and solve problems analytically.
