People and Culture Manager

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul, the group's second hotel in Turkey, is looking for a People and Culture Manager. The role oversees the day-to-day HR operations and the workflow of the People & Culture department, supporting the Director of People & Culture in their absence.

Key responsibilities

• Support, develop, implement and adhere to corporate and hotel People & Culture policies and procedures.
• Manage all vacancies and recruitment within budget, reviewing them against operational needs.
• Provide People & Culture coaching, counselling and performance management to department heads and colleagues.
• Handle starters, transfers, promotions, variations and leavers, and ensure administration complies with hotel and legal requirements.
• Control day-to-day personnel administration and represent the Director of People & Culture in their absence.
• Administer disciplinary and grievance procedures together with the Director.
• Oversee colleague welfare, health, hygiene and safety, and organise social activities.
• Keep the department open and welcoming, and oversee its daily operations and workflow.

Required profile

• Prior luxury hotel experience preferred.
• Fluent in Turkish and English.
• Quality-driven with a passion for excellence.
• Approachable, open-minded and fair.
