Planning Specialist – Logistics & Transportation

About the role

We are looking for a Planning Specialist to join our logistics team in Maltepe, Istanbul. The role focuses on coordinating transportation, managing orders and ensuring seamless material flow for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily open orders and guarantee smooth logistical execution.
• Manage 3PL providers and transportation suppliers according to customer requirements.
• Perform transportation planning activities, including carrier selection, shipment booking and follow‑up.
• Track inbound shipments and ensure on‑time delivery to support uninterrupted production.
• Conduct short‑, medium‑ and long‑term analysis to proactively manage supply risks.
• Provide materials to production lines on schedule, avoiding interruptions.
• Select the most appropriate mode of transportation by balancing service level and cost.
• Optimize transportation routes and cross‑docking operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, International Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Knowledge of logistics, transportation planning and supply‑chain processes.
• Experience in transportation, order or material planning is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Upper‑Intermediate English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent organization, planning and prioritization skills.
• High customer focus and effective stakeholder communication.
• Willingness to work shift‑based operations and adhere to health, safety and quality standards.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or other planning tools.
