Postal Specialist - UABOS Turkey

About the role

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey, providing program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare and recreation support under a five-year contract with three one-year options. The Postal Specialist provides exceptional customer service and handles sensitive mail matters, with a direct impact on the organization's logistical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all postal functions needed for efficient mail service.
• Provide exemplary customer service on mail matters for base users.
• Carry out daily COPE duties as required.
• Manage and oversee the controlled area so security protocols are followed.
• Maintain the postal directory service accurately and accessibly.
• Ensure proper receipt, handling and delivery of mail items.
• Follow all government procedures, regulations, policies, instructions, directives and plans.
• Perform mail handling tasks including collection, postmarking, processing and dispatching, with special attention to inbound mail classification.
• Lift up to 70 lbs, sit or stand for long periods and work in normal and adverse weather.
• Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other programs to complete reports and communicate with customers and colleagues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Familiarity with a Military Post Office (MPO) or civilian equivalent, with at least 2 years of postal experience.
• Qualifications matching a Postal Specialist (Air Force Specialty Code 3F5X1) per the Postal Manual or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Preferred: 3+ years of postal experience and an associate degree.
