Product Design Engineer – Plastics (Samsun)

About the role

The company, a leading player in the plastics sector, seeks a Product Design Engineer to develop multi‑component products for injection molding and automation. The role involves the full product lifecycle from concept through mass production, ensuring quality and market relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Create part architecture for multi‑component products.
• Design parts compatible with injection molding and automation processes.
• Lead prototype, sample, and mass‑production activities.
• Coordinate with mold shop, production, assembly, quality control, and laboratory teams.
• Monitor market trends and improve existing product performance.
• Track product quality throughout its lifecycle and implement revisions.
• Evaluate non‑conforming products based on lab tests and adjust designs.
• Report process issues promptly and support resolution.
• Develop continuous‑improvement suggestions for efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in plastic part design, preferably in irrigation systems, automotive, or home‑appliance sectors.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and creative abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to reside in or relocate to Samsun.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software.
• Knowledge of technical drawing, dimensioning, and basic GD&T.
• Understanding of injection‑molding rules.
• Proficiency with MS Office for planning, reporting, and presentations.
• Experience with Ansys and Moldflow analysis.
• Product design optimization and feasibility study expertise.
• Strong background in product development processes and project management.
