Product Development Manager (Denim)

About the role

Mavi, a global lifestyle brand founded in 1991 in Istanbul and publicly traded since 2017, is looking for a Product Development Manager (Denim) to join its Global Design and Product Development Directorate. The role suits someone experienced in product development processes, with strong follow-up and organizational skills, able to coordinate with manufacturers and cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up prototype and sales sample processes with manufacturers so products are ready on time according to the calendar and shipment dates to different countries.
• Maintain regular contact with manufacturers, identify potential delays and risks early, and act with relevant teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Fabric and Washing teams to meet deadlines and follow the end-to-end process.
• Enter accessory codes for SMS products accurately into Excel and relevant systems after the pre-merchandising process.
• Review Product team comments and revisions, transfer them to the PLM system with the correct codes and start the production feedback process.
• Keep product information in the PLM system accurate and up to date.
• Monitor the product development calendar, inform stakeholders promptly about delays and follow up until completion.
• Keep Excel files, tracking sheets and system records current.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 8 years of experience in product development, preferably in apparel or textiles.
• Strong follow-up and organizational skills, with a disciplined approach to calendars and deadlines.
• Ability to handle several products and processes at once.
• Good communication with manufacturers and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with PLM systems.
• Preferred: knowledge of prototype, SMS and sales sample processes, and of denim, fabric and washing processes.
• Preferred: experience working with manufacturers or suppliers.
