Production Engineer

About the role

As a Production Engineer you will ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operation while meeting customer requirements. You will lead facility technicians, drive HSE, production and maintenance plans, and ensure compliance with industrial regulations and management systems.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor technicians, issue safe work permits and promote a safety culture.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and Seveso process safety standards.
• Manage process risk reduction measures, including Instrumented Safety Protection Loops (EIS‑SPL) and Pressure Relief Devices.
• Monitor daily plant operations, troubleshoot technical issues and compile production performance reports.
• Coordinate maintenance work plans, prioritize safety‑related tasks and ensure critical safety equipment is operational.
• Handle alarm management, oversee on‑call schedules and drive energy efficiency through the EMS and ISO 50001.
• Control procurement activities, manage purchase orders and align operational budgets with financial targets.
• Supervise subcontractors, ensure driver competencies for liquid handling and oversee facility security and housekeeping.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering).
• 2–3 years of experience, ideally in the industrial gases sector.
• Full proficiency in Turkish and English.
• Strong HSE knowledge with hands‑on experience in JHA, SWP, LOTO, RCA and site visits.
• Deep understanding of process risk management and core engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Just Culture principles and safety leadership.
