Production Manager - Natural Gas Meter Assembly

About the role

REED Turkey is recruiting a Production Manager for a client in the industrial manufacturing sector based in Ankara. The role leads end-to-end manufacturing operations for natural gas meter assembly, calibration and testing, working with international suppliers and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and optimise manufacturing operations for natural gas meter assembly, calibration and testing, ensuring quality, productivity and safety.
• Deliver production targets through planning, resource management and execution, minimising waste and downtime.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction and continuous process improvement.
• Manage production performance through ERP systems, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting and data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering and other teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as OEE, cycle time, yield and scrap rates, and implement corrective actions.
• Build, lead and develop production teams and coordinate with local and international suppliers on equipment, technology and technical support.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, health and safety and operational requirements.
• Support capacity expansion, process development and manufacturing excellence initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing and mass production environments.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Experience managing factory production processes through ERP systems, preferably Canias ERP.
• Experience in the Gas Equipment / Gas Metering industry is highly preferred; White Goods or automotive OEM/Tier-1/Tier-2 suppliers are also considered.
• Advanced English, able to discuss technical and commercial matters with international partners online and face-to-face.
• Military service completed or exempt for male candidates.
