Purchasing Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Purchasing Supplier Quality Engineer will lead quality initiatives for supplied parts, ensuring compliance with Bosch standards and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive claims management using the 8D methodology and conduct deep root‑cause analysis aligned with Bosch’s 14 Quality Principles.
• Manage the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), including physical measurements, supplier method homologation, part release and Early Production Containment activities.
• Establish and maintain the quality framework for supplied parts in SAP, creating Quality Info Records and Inspection Plans.
• Coordinate supplier defect cost reimbursement with manufacturing, logistics and commercial purchasing teams.
• Act as a quality leader in cross‑functional teams during escalations, problem‑solving and supplier development.
• Communicate supplier quality status using PDCA, A3 and cockpit charts for reporting at all levels.
• Support internal, customer and CSR audits and implement necessary containment actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Three or more years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering of automotive components.
• Hands‑on experience with CMM, measurement systems, laboratory management and MSA.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and ability to travel occasionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• PFMEA, Control Plan development.

• Experience with heat‑treatment and welding processes.
