Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist – Animal Nutrition & Health

About the role

As a Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist in Animal Nutrition & Health, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end flow of products – from international direct sourcing and supplier negotiations to import operations, planning and inventory control. You will ensure on‑time delivery, balance stock levels and proactively solve challenges to support business continuity and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure reliable supply of assigned products and services at the lowest total cost of ownership.
• Own and optimise end‑to‑end supply chain operations for the premix plant, including planning, inventory control and replenishment.
• Balance demand and supply by managing the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for defined product groups.
• Execute purchasing activities to guarantee on‑time delivery in line with operational requirements.
• Build, manage and negotiate strong supplier partnerships while monitoring and improving supplier performance.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives across procurement and logistics to enhance efficiency, resilience and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of direct purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, including overseas/international sourcing.
• Experience in import operations (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, planning, inventory management and Incoterms.
• Proven negotiator with solid supplier partnership skills and strong English communication.
• Sharp abilities in planning, inventory control and on‑time order execution.
• Analytical, solution‑driven thinker with expertise in SAP/ERP and Excel.
