Quality Assurance Executive (Non-Food/Near Food)

About the role

The Quality Assurance Executive will ensure that METRO Türkiye’s own brand and imported products meet legal regulations, global quality standards, and customer expectations. You will lead periodic checks, risk assessments, and audits to safeguard product safety and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain product listings in line with legal and quality requirements.
• Develop and execute quality analysis and supplier audit plans based on risk assessments.
• Conduct supplier audits covering food safety, social compliance, and sustainability, and verify the validity of supplier certificates.
• Prepare product specifications and verify label compliance.
• Manage non‑conformities identified during internal and external audits.
• Create supplier scorecards and communicate performance results to relevant categories.
• Handle customer complaints related to product safety and quality, request corrective actions, and inform stores.
• Monitor legal regulations for locally sourced and imported products.
• Participate in special projects on product safety, sustainability, and quality.
• Support implementation of quality management systems such as IFS Wholesale.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of food and non‑food product safety regulations.
• Experience in risk assessment, supplier auditing, and handling non‑conformities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with categories, stores, and suppliers.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFS Wholesale or similar quality management systems.
• Proficiency in preparing product specifications and label checks.
• Experience with supplier scorecard creation and performance reporting.
