Quality Control Engineer

About the role

Döhler Turkey is seeking a Quality Control Engineer for its Balıkesir plant. You will lead the Quality Department, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and driving continuous improvement across production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise quality control activities, inspection schedules and the collection of quality records.
• Assess implementation of Quality Plans and allocate QC personnel to site activities.
• Lead day‑to‑day operations of the Quality Department, including Micro, Analytical and Process labs.
• Manage material non‑conformities and support certifications such as ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, Organic, Halal and Kosher.
• Validate manufacturing process changes and drive special projects (HACCP, GMP, GLP, Operational Excellence).
• Coordinate traceability systems for organic and sustainable products.
• Oversee calibration management of testing equipment and cooperate with Quality Management on non‑conformities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control, preferably in ketchup, mayonnaise or sauce manufacturing.
• Proven experience developing and reviewing quality plans, contract documents and specifications.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and project‑management abilities.
• Ability to act as a change agent and build trusted relationships.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 certification knowledge.
• HACCP, GMP, GLP and CIP implementation.
• Root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action development.
• Traceability system management for organic and sustainable products.
• Calibration management of laboratory and testing equipment.
